Please read below to see a couple different types of massage that can be included in your session:

General Relaxation Massage (also known as Swedish Massage) involves soft, long, kneading strokes, as well as light, rhythmic, tapping strokes, on the topmost layers of muscles combined with movement of the joints. By relieving muscle tension, Swedish therapy can be both relaxing and energizing. It can also aid in recovery after an injury. We recommend this type of massage for relaxation, stress relief, and all over blood and lymph circulation improvement.

Deep Tissue is best for giving attention to certain painful, stiff  trouble spots  in the body. This technique involves slow, deliberate strokes that focus pressure on layers of muscles, tendons, or other tissues deep under the skin. Though less rhythmic than other types of massage, deep tissue massage can be quite therapeutic relieving chronic patterns of tension and helping with muscle injuries, such as back sprain. We recommend this type of massage for the problem areas that most of us refer to as “knots”. This is typically incorporated with a Swedish massage to create a more flowing and relaxing experience. If you would like to experience a full body Deep tissue massage please add an additional $10 to listed massage price.

Myofascial Release is a technique that places focus on your soft tissue (fascia) which surrounds your muscles and organs; by rolling, stretching and adding slow, sustained pressure to specific areas. This technique allows your Massage Therapist to release tension build up from daily life, poor posture, and lack of exercise. Myofascial Release is known for reducing or in some cases even eliminating chronic pain and restriction of the muscle and fascia which in turn will restore motion! This technique is typically used throughout all of our customized massages, and is a great tool in rejuvenating your body!

90 Minutes (75-90 Minutes of Massage) / $150 (with Amy only)
Amy begins this 90 Minute Energy Massage Experience by introducing you to all aspects of this massage. There will be plenty of time for comments and questions before we begin.

What is your intent? We will move forward with a clear vision of what it is that you wish to come from this experience.

Once the intention is set, Amy will begin with hand on (or off if preferred) Body Scan, Reiki, and Chakra readings. From this she will have an idea of which direction to move forward, and area of focus for the massage. Then, Amy will begin the massage with the gentle vibrations from a Buffalo Drum to calm, and focus the energies. This will continue along with calming ishochronic tones and binaural beats to soothe and balance energy during your Session!

Once the massage is complete, we will conclude with an energy assessment, and as a closing gift you will be given a crystal specific to the Chakra that is most in need of healing/balance. This gift is also intended to act as a gentle reminder to live mindfully (and with intention) and to listen to your intuition.

OTHER
Brainwave Entertainment can be incorporated into to your massage via calming music with the added bonus of Binaural Beats, and/or Isochronic Tones proven to assist with relaxation! Your brain continually produces electrical activity, even when you are asleep. Neurologists found that this activity can be recorded in the form of brainwave patterns, also known as brainwaves. Many scientific studies have shown that the brainwave activity in the brain can be influenced and corrected, when it is stimulated with specific beats and tones. This process is known as Brainwave Entertainment, and can be extremely effective when used correctly.Various forms of brainwave entertainment and synchronization have been used in many different cultures for hundreds of years. Long before scientists were able to measure our brainwave patterns.Lots of historical references show that our ancestors used drums and or chanting, to induce and experience different states of mind. Some cultures still use the same methods today.*Isochronic Tones and Binaural Beats are safe to listen to. However, DO NOT USE while driving or operating machinery

*Aromatherapy is used at Tula Spa. We warm the air with vapors hand chosen to add to your spa experience. We have a small Essential Oil diffuser which we apply calming, meditative and healing blended oils in order to assist you in reaching optimal relaxation. These oils are diluted with water and released into the air via the quaint oil diffuser into a simple vapor which you will inhale, creating a relaxing effect. Very subtle, but a brilliant touch!*Please notify Tula ahead of your appointment if you would rather not have the diffuser going at the time of your massage or facial.

Color Therapy, also known as Chromatherapy is something that Amy is recently exploring. There are MANY ways to incorporate color therapy, but the one way Amy is looking into has many benefits specifically during a massage. It’s easy to enjoy a massage as a client, but what if you could assist with your own healing process? Imagine a color… one that embodies comfort, warmth, and healing for you. Envision that color being radiated in the are being massaged. Sounds simple well, it is! After testing this method out on several clients, Amy has had nothing but rave reviews. Clients state that color envisioning assists them in de-cluttering their minds by replacing busy thoughts with warm healing visions. They also mention feeling lasting benefits as they are more aware during their massage.
